[The hallways don't look much different on the lower-level floors of the resort, but Vil does notice there are less staff present, with less carts for carrying away dirty linens and vacuum cleaners. Did they not visit these floors as often? If the higher ranks were given such thorough access to hotel commodities and services, perhaps that service didn't spend as much time on the lower floors. Interesting.

He notes Leona's rank from what he can see of his profile on his Watch. Five was rather low in the order of playing cards, but still not the lowest. He could only imagine how much worse things got for the others. Maybe his joke about the water heater wasn't too far off.

He stops in front of the door bearing the number Leona gave him, glancing around before knocking. No use hesitating here.]

[ in a way, leona prefers it this way: one value higher than what he would consider untenable, but he could still use a lot more luxuries that he's used to. the prestige would also be nice. still, this is what he's been given and he's not going to hold his nose because of it.

though he'd like a little more peace and quiet. there are still some strange (and annoying) sounds that make their way into his small but not quite uncomfortable room. he does have to be careful as he goes to the door, opening it without saying anything first. ]

[ and spook him he does. the main lounge usually has a bit of foot traffic, but it's not so busy for him to easily sneak in and give six a real jump scare. he's not some small cat looking to skirt around the edges of the room.

[On the 25th, Leona will receive a package! The package is nicely wrapped and includes two gifts. One is a cute fuzzy pillow, shaped like a lion's head. For you to cuddle with! Hiyori writes in the note. After their last text conversation, he figured Leona loves sleeping with tons of pillows around!

Then there's a second gift: a big bottle of conditioner. For your long mane of hair! Hiyori writes. Apparently he hasn't forgotten the awful four-in-one shampoo/conditioner/body wash/lubricant hybrid he saw in Leona's shower. It haunts him. It may always haunt him.
